We are here to show you exactly how a Newborn Shoot in Aldershot, Farnham or Guildford works. From start to finish.
I’m Zoe and I have been photographing Newborns for 8 years now. I am so lucky to have a job that I love and can help you have beautiful images of you and your family in your home.
I live in leafy Farnham, Surrey with my husband Adam and our two girlies. Photography has always been my love and after photographing for other people for so long I am loving that I took the leap to set up by myself 4 years ago now and not looked back. I have had training with 4 top photographers and am always striving to learn and create more.
My pretty and comfortable photography studio is located in Farnham. Situated on a farm, it is a beautiful setting for you to come and relax and watch your baby just next to you being photographed. With plenty of parking outside it is located 5 minutes from Aldershot it is easily accessible if you were looking for an Aldershot Newborn Photographer, Aldershot Family Photographer, or Farnham photographer.
“We had a session with Zoe for our 12 week old baby and everything was fabulous from start to finish!
Zoe is a very warming and welcoming person and instantly made us feel comfortable and safe in her studio. She really has great attention to detail and the photos she took of our little boy were unbelievable! I honestly cannot thank Zoe enough for the experience and the photos which will be on full display in our home for many years to come.”
-Natasha, Andy & Baby Albie-
Pre-covid I would quite often approach pregnant ladies if I am in Sainsburys or at the shops ( I always carry a supply of business cards or leaflets with me) Being photographed is such a personal thing and especially after having a baby. So I like to chat face to face to Mums-to-be to show I’m friendly and ‘not a weirdo’ much to the embarrassment of my two Daughters who usually run the other way when I go to introduce myself.
Recommendations Are The Best
Most of my bookings come from recommendations from my lovely clients already. Once I photographed a whole NCT group of 6 families as their babies arrived and now some of them are onto their 2nd babies and feel privileged to photograph them once more.
When Should I Book My Newborn Session?
Most of my clients book just after their 20-week scan to guarantee their place. I only photograph a few Newborns each week to ensure the best possible service to my clients and I only photograph 1 family per day to ensure you or your baby is not rushed and that we can make sure we get the most out of your session.
Before booking, I will ask for your phone number so we can chat about exactly what you would like from your newborn session. I will also ask you about what kind of colours you have in your home as I aim to match the colours in your images to your home.
Your due date will be added to my diary and will keep in touch over the next few months and when your due date is nearing. When little one arrives please let me know and we can make plans for you to come to my Newborn Studio in Farnham, GU9, for your Newborn Session, ideally during 5-21 days as babies are all still curled up and sleepy at this stage.
The Day Of Your Session
So the day of your session is here. Exciting!!! I schedule my newborns for Monday-Friday 10am. This is so you can miss the morning traffic and I will have the kettle on.
When you arrive we can chat and you can have a look through the many props and backdrops I have and pick out your faves.
Wear cool and comfortable clothing, as the studio will be nice and warm. Neutral colours and tones always photograph well. Please avoid logos and patterns on shirts. And just in case there are any small accidents, bringing an extra set of clothes is always a good idea.
We like to allow plenty of time for feeding and cuddling during your session. So please plan to be here for between 2 – 4 hours.
We have plenty of props for you to choose from and like to involve you in the styling of the session. If you have a special item you would like to incorporate, we would love for you to bring it along.
I only book a maximum of 10 newborns sessions each month. This gives all my expecting mums this flexibility. Then we can adjust the date in case you are in hospital a little longer or if baby is overdue.
I do encourage you Mum & Dad to be in the photographs too, as they are really are little just this once. Focus is always on your little bundle of joy.
What Happens After The Session?
At your session, we will arrange a convenient date about a week after your session for you to return. And I will show you your beautiful slideshow of images. Then you may choose your package and any wall art or products. You can view the packages HERE.
So if a blonde lady approaches you in Sainsbury’s in the pasta aisle, Newborn Photography or Family Photography card in hand with a big friendly smile. It’s most probably me! And please excuse my children running the other way they are just embarrassed. But their Mum wants to show she’s friendly and would like to welcome people in her lovely Newborn Studio in Farnham!
My lovely clients are great at leaving reviews:
See you soon
Lots of love
Ps I forgot to mention. So babies ALWAYS wee and pooh on my backdrops. Therefore please don’t apologise or feel bad. I am used to it and that’s what washing machines are for. My fabrics are carefully washed and dried after every session.
