EXTENDED FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY IN SURREY
As a Surrey extended family photographer, I specialise in capturing families in all their joyous, smiling, sometimes gloriously funny glory. The cuddles, the hand-holding, the generations all together in one frame – these are the photos that become family treasures.
Because let’s face it… getting everybody together in one place doesn’t happen all that often. So when it does? It deserves to be remembered properly.

I find that if everyone’s having a good time, the photos really speak for themselves I just ask you to be yourselves. We’ll chat, play games, run around and just have some fun.

Instead, we chat, wander, cuddle grandchildren, chase little ones, make Nan laugh, and create natural photographs that actually FEEL like your family.

I invite families to spend some time with me for a personal, totally bespoke experience resulting in a set of feel-good images that you can’t help but treasure.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE INCLUDED?
WHAT IF THE CHILDREN DON’T SIT STILL?
Honestly? That’s completely normal.
I don’t expect children to sit perfectly still smiling at the camera the whole time. Some of the best photographs happen during the running, cuddles and the in-between.
WHERE DO THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
Most extended family photoshoots take place outdoors somewhere beautiful in Surrey, Hampshire or Berkshire.
Lots families also choose to have the session at home.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
The main thing is to feel comfortable and like yourselves.
Neutral tones, soft colours and outfits that complement each other (rather than perfectly matching) always photograph beautifully. Once you’re booked in, I’m very happy to help with outfit advice too.
CAN WE HAVE DIFFERENT FAMILY GROUP PHOTOS TOO?
Absolutely.
I’ll capture the full group photos as well as smaller combinations like:
- Grandparents with grandchildren
- Individual family units
- Siblings
- Cousins
- Just the grandparents
- The grown-up children together
…and any other combinations that are important to you.
WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK?
Extended family sessions are especially popular during:
- Summer holidays
- Birthday celebrations
- Anniversaries
- Family reunions
So I’d always recommend booking as early as possible if you already have a date in mind.
