How to Take Your Children’s Passport Photos

1. Find a Plain White Background
   • A white wall works best.
   • Position your child near a window for natural light.
2. Reduce Shadows
   • Stand your child a little away from the wall to prevent shadows.
   • Ask someone to hold up a white sheet or card to reflect light and minimize shadows.
3. Take the Photo
   • Get as close as possible while still fitting their face in the frame.
   • Tap on your screen to focus on the child’s eyes.

1. Use a Plain White Sheet
   • Lay a smooth white sheet on a bed or sofa.
2. Position Your Baby Correctly
   • Place your baby in the middle of the sheet.
   • Photograph from above, ensuring their head is centered.
3. Capture the Best Shot
   • Get as close as possible while keeping focus.
   • Tap on the eyes to ensure sharpness.

Important Rules to Keep in Mind:

• Children under 6 do not have to look directly at the camera or maintain a neutral expression.
• Children under 1 do not need to have their eyes open.
• No need to crop your photo; the website will do it for you.

How to Avoid Shadows in Passport Photos

The guidelines for uploading your own image state that there should be no shadows on the face or background. To avoid this:
