Family portraits….they are, in fact, the most important images of all
Showing our family as it grows, as new children arrive and pets are added to the mix. So Family Portrait Sessions are super important.
How we love to look back at images from family holidays, birthdays and outings. Our family are all there in our images.
But being photographed ALTOGETHER without someone holding the phone or camera how often does that happen? You might grab a passer-by to take a quick snapshot of you all on your phone but having a Family Portrait Session you can be all together, relax and not worry whether that passer-by has their finger over the lens.
Which one is for your family……. studio session or outdoor?
How does it work-Outdoor Session
Together we choose a favourite place to photograph, you may have fond memories of a certain place or I can recommend somewhere. My personal fave near Farnham is Frensham Ponds. Lots of parking and lots of space for the children to run around. It’s quite sandy so if it has been raining not much mud to photoshop off little one’s trousers! Once we all meet at an outdoor shoot, I spend lots of time chatting with your children so that they can relax and get chatting and feel comfortable with me. We will have a walk around and stop at lots of points to take shots of you altogether. I also take candid shots of your children whilst they run around together. Bring wellies in an extra bag as paddling in the lake is a must for the little ones.
Mark from Mark Newman Media made this brilliant video for me to show you what it is like to have a Family Outdoor session with me:
How does it work-Studio Session
Our fully equipped studio is in Runfold Farnham for your Family Session. Located at The Antiques Warehouse it has parking right outside.
We use neutral coloured backdrops to match your home for when you display them on your walls. A cup of tea or coffee is deffo on the table for when you arrive and I always have snacks to keep the little ones going too. A family session lasts approximately one hour and I spend lots of time chatting with your children so that they can relax and get chatting and feel comfortable with me before we take some family images of you altogether. Being in a studio is always so interesting to children so I get them to help me do certain things like check the lightning and backdrops. It helps them feel part of the experience.
I usually start with a whole family group altogether and then photograph the children after. Mum and Dad photos together? Definitely. When was the last time you had a photo together all dressed up…..your wedding? This is a brilliant time for the children to pull funny faces from behind the camera and make you laugh!
What Happens After Your Session?
At your session, we will book an appointment for you to come to the studio about one week later and view your gallery of approximately 30 fully edited images in a beautiful slideshow. It is then you can choose which package you would like.
Not Sure How To Display Your Images?
We can help with that. We have many Wall Art options for you to choose from on display to match your home. From shiny modern acrylics to traditional multi image frames.
Did this help you to decide which one is for you…… studio or location?
Whichever one you choose will ensure you capture your family as you grow and change.
Lots of love
