What Shall We Wear For Our Family Photoshoot
After every client books a Family session with me, the first thing they ask me is “What shall we wear for our family photo shoot?”
Families. They come in all shapes and sizes: large, small, blended, step, rowdy, quiet and everything in between. It really doesn’t matter what form your family takes. As long as you’ve got one other’s backs, it’s all good. And that’s the mood I try to strike with my Surrey family photography: a sense of togetherness. A sense that, even though everyone will grow up and spread their wings one day, today you’re all here together, loving life as one.
So I am here to give you some hints and tips on what to wear that will make your family images look great on your walls.
Spring Time!
Springtime brings the bluebells and blossom which acts as a beautiful backdrop for your family photoshoot. Lighter colours work well in Spring such as pastels.
Summer Time Shoots
Denim and white are colours and fabrics that everyone can wear and can be adapted from little ones to grandparents. A smart shirt for Grandad with jeans down to dungaree shorts for the grandchildren as seen here with this brilliant family.
The colours here also go with the Summer green and dappled light we have around them.
Navy and white with stripes and smiles worked well in this family shoot and looked great against the late-summer grasses.
What About Autumn Shoots?
I love bright colours and blacks in Autumn to complement the oranges and reds of Autumn.
We are lucky to live in Farnham with the beautiful countryside around us, and together we will choose a space where your family can have a runaround and also have fun too.
BRING YOUR DOGGIES!
Your doggies are part of your family and usually my clients’ 1st babies so definitely bring them, I love dogs!
Clothing Inspiration
I hope this has helped you with choosing clothing for your Family Photo Shoot and I look forward to seeing you and your family soon.
