Now the sunshine is here and the weather is a little warmer, I thought i’d put this list together of Finding the best children’s playgrounds in Farnham, Surrey.
Need to get out the house for an hour or a whole day? I have a list of playgrounds in around Farnham, Surrey that your children can have a run around and have some fun!
1. Gostrey Meadows
Parking: Nearest parking is the Central Car Park in Victoria Road.
Playground details: Swings, slide, climbing, sandy floors.
Toilets: Just right next to the play park
Other fun: Paddling in the River Wey
Cafe: The Coffee Can
Other Info: Open field for picnics & perfect for an after-shopping run around!
2. Frimley Lodge Park
Sturt Road, Frimley Green, Camberley, Surrey, GU16 6HY.
Parking: Yes, free of charge
Playground details: Swings, slides, climbing. 2 zip wires.
Toilets: Next to the cafe. With baby-changing.
Cafe: Yes, in the middle of the park.
Other Info: The miniature railway is there too, see their website for when it opens.
3. Farnham Park
Parking: The main car park is off Folly Hill (A 287), between Farnham and Upper Hale.Sat Nav: GU9 0AU. Parking is free and near the ranger’s office, which located on the left when you enter the car park.
Playground details: Adventure playground, massive wooden castle, zip wire, slides.
Toilets: At the cafe at the top by the golf course.
Cafe: Yes, by Farnham Park Golf Club.
Other Info: A short walk from Farnham Town centre.
4. Stoke Park
Nightingale Road Guildford GU1 1ER
Parking: Nightingale Road car park, (GU1 1ER) or Lido Road car park, (GU1 1HB)
Playground details: The children’s playground is home to the iconic helter skelter and legendary stoke park crocodile. You’ll also find adult and junior swings, multi play units and a see saw.
Toilets: Right next to the playground. With baby changing too.
Cafe: Yes, next to the rose garden.
Other Info: Paddling pool! See the photo above.
5. Deepcut
Metropole Club, 25 Deepcut Bridge Rd, Deepcut, Camberley GU16 6QX
Parking: In the residential roads nearby.
Playground details: Climbing
Toilets: At the nearby Frog Pub
Cafe: Or new beautiful Frog Pub right next door
Other Info: Ice cream van also visits
6. Alice Holt
Parking: Yes, it’s cashless and 1hr is £3.
Playground details: Loads of popular play areas, structures and trails, perfect for all the family. More family fun includes the unique Gruffalo Sculptures, see who you can find in the deep, dark woods!
Toilets: Yes with baby changing.
Cafe: Right in the middle, can’t miss it.
Other Info: Take the bikes for a ride around or you can hire them there.
7. Puttenham Park
Parking: On local roads
Playground details: Slides, swings, climbing, tennis court and skate park.
Toilets: Unknown
Cafe:Pub nearby The Good Intent Puttenham
Other Info: Skate Park
The faves in our house are any of them with zip wires and a cafe.
